Credentials

My name is Norman Sockwell. I am the owner of ScifiMetropolis and have been building science fiction related replica's specifically since 1999. I have been a member of The B9 Builders Club for almost as long. My previous experience around CNC machine equipment and being involved in the intricate stages involved from conception to final product have given me the experience necessary to produce highly detailed, accurate replicas. I have been a scifi enthusiast since childhood, with my first real exposure to science fiction being the classic television series "Lost In Space" and I've never lost that enthusiasm to this day.

• 2003 - 1999 : Member of the B9 Robot Builders Club. Designed and constructed many of the components that our club members use on their robots.

• 1999 - 1989 : Manager of a high performance automotive center, catering to sports cars / muscle cars. Extensive use of in house machining facilities. Developed good working knowledge of fabricating components from various metal alloys and plastics.
